Since 1972, the Oregon Marching Band has been a huge part of the Oregon, Wisconsin community and school district.  For four weeks each summer, between 40 and 140 of our most talented young people take to the field in up to 15 competitions sanctioned by the Mid-America Competing Band Directors Association.

Oregon is one of the most competitive units in MACBDA, having captured the circuit championship in 2006, back-to-back-to-back circuit percussion titles in 2006, 2007, and 2008, and the honor of winning visual general effect at the MACBDA Championships four years running.

The Oregon High School Summer Marching Band, now nicknamed simply "Shadow Armada," also clinched the 2008 MACBDA Grand Championship title.

Today, the strength of the Oregon Marching Band has lead to the addition of several more ensembles - Armada Cadets Marching Band, Armada WinterguardShadow Indoor Percussion - and precipitated the creation of the Oregon Marching and Athletic Arts Program to coordinate them all.

"This band has shaped who I am today ... Though I am sad I am leaving this organization, I can say proudly that it has impacted me, and that I have left my own mark on the band: shaping the future leaders of tomorrow."

- Katie Bukowski, 2007 Graduate, Drum Sergeant, and four-year veteran of the Oregon Marching Band.

"I'm not ready for this to end, and I'm definitely not ready to say goodbye to this band.  I've been irreversibly changed this summer and now I know that I am ready to forge my own path in life.  This band has given me a taste of what living my dreams is like.  That feeling will serve as motivation for me to find other passions in my life.  What more is there to say?

There's just something about that feeling."

-Allyson Connor, 2008 Graduate

- Musicianship -

We uphold the highest standards of musicianship for ourselves and all those with whom we perform.

------ Unity ------
We are united among ourselves and as citizens of the world around us, considering how
ALL of our actions affect our band family, our school, our community, and our world.

------ Sacrifice -----
We understand the supreme value in giving of oneself for the good of the whole.

------- Integrity -------
We adhere to high professional standards, knowing that when others
can count on you, you will be able to count on them.

--------- Courage ---------
We do what is right despite adversity;
we are bold and innovative,
we finish what we start,
we "go 100%" in
all that we do.
